Fashion King: Review @ 10:51 PM

I am a bored child. So, every time I finish a drama, I will review it.
This is for the sake of putting my mind at ease because recently drama endings have been pissing me off.
My korean drama background:
Back in 2009 a friend introduced me to the Korean version of Boys Before Flowers and I haven't looked back since. After that, my spare time was spent either watching dramas non-stop, shopping or drawing. I then became a little obsessed and a little dependent to. Everyday I would need a dose of Korean drama. My record of completing a drama is a 16 episode drama in 3 days and 2 nights. I don't understand WHY THEY ARE SO DAMN ADDICTING. I have been immersed in so many dramas the past 4 years that I can speak more Korean than I can Japanese (which I've been learning since yr 7).

WARNING: If anyone is reading this then I urge you to not continue if you intend to be subjected to the brutal, unpredictable ending of Fashion King.
Anyways, my past isn't important. The important thing is, what is happening to the world and it's drama endings???????? It's too much for me to handle. The last two minutes of Fashion King never leaves my mind.

The start of Fashion King developed seamlessly with strong, distinct characters. What seemed like a typical "love triangle" based drama about fashion turned repetitive and tiring to watch. Even though I was watching restlessly waiting for her to choose a damn guy so that they could live happily ever after, I was taken totally aback when the end was a tragedy. Again and again, the drama kept repeating the same situation of the company failing. What kept me hanging was the little epic moments of jealousy and lust.
Towards the episode 13 and on the characters got a little lost and the plot became unclear. Right until the last 10 minutes of the drama I thought everything would turn out the way it was supposed to. It was like watching the whole drama, waiting for them to finally be together was a waste of time when he got shot. Without even knowing who shot him the drama ended like that. Just like that. Him lying in a pool with his white fur jacket drenched in his own blood and phone in his hand. Other reviews say that it was meant to be 'symbolic'. Symbolic it may be but why. I mean if he committed suicide it may have made a little more sense. Why turn a great drama with a clear direction into a melodrama? It was so ridiculous that I started laughing. Ha ha ha. Yoo Ah In, thank the lord you're a good actor because without you, it wouldn't have been believable and the drama would have been a complete dud.
